Unhappy Unable to install any Distro's !

Hi there, and thanks in advance for any advice.

I have attempted to install a number of distro's on a PIII 928 MHz 128M RAM PC.

All of them have failed during installation so I am attempting to use Knoppix 3.7 to get at least get something running on it.

I am getting the error message "You passed an undefined mode number" which is reffering to the monitor screen settings.

The monitor is A Belinea VESA VGA

I have tried using the failsafe mode however after installing the screen has a wide black strip running down it and is unusable.

Using the 80 x 25 screen mode results in the screen turning off, as if it is not receiving signals from tthe PC!

Any ideas would be appreciated!
