Unable to Find Nor save files files on NAS?

Hi, I'm new to Linux ( Ubuntu 13.04). I've been using it for ~ 5 months . I'm wanting to connect to my NAS Drive
( Buffalo Link Station HS-DH320GL). I'm able to assess
my drive per my browser but I'm unable to save files on it? I looked on my Files Folder - Not showing my NAS. Former Win 7 user & NAS has it's original

Any assistance would be appreciated.Thank you in advance.I was not sure if I should post this question on the Hardware Or the Newbie section?

Thanks, Mitch S.

1. you need to configure the NAS for connection type for either CIFS (samba), FTP, NFS, etc...

then setup the connection how ever you wish...

I love the buffalo link stations. they are great little NAS devices. Ive used them in NAS, FTP, CIFS, as well as rsync.

you have to tell the Ubuntu server how to mount the NAS. If you are going to be sharing the files on your NAS with more then just Linux, you should leave it as NTFS (SAMBA share) and just use cifs to mount the NAS.
