Unable to create Partition

I have centos 5.3 installed i have 2 partition already created on 500gb Hardisk,i want to use unallocted 300gb. here i make new partition using fdisk as extended but when i save using "w" command i get error as WARNING: Re-reading the partition table failed with error 22: device or resource is busy The kernel still uses the old table.
The new table will be used at the next reboot.
Syncing disks.

Reboot and see if the partition table is how you want it.
