hi guys,
i recently got a dvd from a local magazine (here in india).. that dvd contains 4 distros (red hat 9, mandrake 9.1, peanuts 9.3 and knoppix 3.2).. only iso images are present there.
i hava toshiba combo drive and using EZ-CD Creator app for making the cds... but when i am trying to boot them from the cd... nothing happens... nor does the computer boots from the cd neither does it boot to windows...
can you guys please guide me how to go about this...

when you open the cds in windows, do you see a single iso file on the each cd? If so, that's the problem. In EZCD creator, there is an option under File to burn iso-image (i forgot the exact name of the option but it's there). Click that to burn the image.
edit: you'll be asked to choose the image file. you might have to change the file types to get the iso files displayed. choose the right iso and then proceed. the rest should be easy.

One of the reasons I switched to Nero
You might also want to check your BIOS settings to make sure that the option to boot from CD is enabled, and it is listed before the hard drive device. I remember being frustrated because I could not boot from the CD even after numerous attempts, and it was all due to my negligence in checking the BIOS settings.
Hang in there!

Try this too
When your puter starts to boot, right after the memory count screen, look to see if you see the message 'hit any key to boot from CD' usually right at the bottom. I have seen this on a few mobo's. It's irratating. You go to the trouble of changing BIOS and then it asks again. jeeessss. puter, do what I tell you already.
Hope this helps.

At my beginnings, the ISO images were never the problem. Make sure that you burn the ISO images to a 80 mins or 700MB CD, and make sure your bios boots from the removable drive.
Cheers.
