Angry unable to connect to INTERNET, using pclinuxos minime09

hi i have just put pclinuxos minime09 onto my acer travelmate 212TE i have tried using a cable & wireless PC card, an msi card bus and a sitecom network cardbus PC card. with no joy it just keeps telling me there was a problem with my modem but this cannot be the problem as i am using the cable and wireless card on the dell latitude cpx that i am writing this on with Ubuntu installed. i don't know if it is me doing something wrong or if it is trying to use the wrong drivers or what. oh one last thing pclinuxos minime09 is the only linux os that will run on it properly with a full screen and windows is soooooooo slow. thanks.

How are you trying to set up your connection? I have PCLinux installed but not minime so I don't know what is available with it. Are you doing this in a terminal with commands? Do you have the PCLinux Control Center?

I can understand Windows being slow w/only 512 MB. Have you tried Alpine Linux, it's made for modest hardware. So is DSL or Damn Small Linux
Code:

Well, then you might try using something like SIW.exe or PC Wizard (cpuid.org) to list all of your hardware in Windows. Then go to the Linux hardware compatibility list and see if your hardware is listed. If most of it is not, you might not be able to run any distro. Good luck.

Arrow PCLinuxOS wifi

Am I correct you're trying to connect via Wireless?

Maybe you can use part of following post?
pclos-wifi
(however you're running a real old version of PCLinuxOS - soon we have a bunch of new PCLinuxOS-ISOs
