Unable to connect SSh with hostname...

Hi,
When I try to connect different host by using ssh , its not working and throwing me an error "name or service not known"

ssh usw3tvx@lalqau40
ssh: lalqau40: Name or service not known

However I tried ssh with ip address, it works...

What do I need to change here..

your dns isn't working then. nothing to do with ssh at all. what are you doing in order to resolve this? local bind installation? entry in /etc/hosts? Magic?

yea I have added in /etc/hosts.. I am able to ping with host name... Even I check the resolve.conf... seems fine... Do I need to change some other file?
