Unable to boot
I have tried countless times to compile a kernel that can properly load with my nvidia geforce fx 5200 graphics card fully operational but all my attempts have been in vain. my computer shows an error tah consists of a bunch of letters and numbers i can not make sense of , unfourtunately I have not my computer with me to write down the error .When I use my intel on board graphis card it works fine though it does not with my nvidia card.

graphic card:nvidia geforce fx 5200
intel i810 onboard (currently using)
prcessor :intel celeron 4
memory :768mb
system :Ubuntu 7.10

So -- you have a kernel that boots, right? Use the configuration from that kernel as a starting point and only make small changes before testing -- if it breaks, step back and try again.
