Unable to access network connection LAPPY\linuxliteshare from within Windows 8.1.

I have a desktop PC with a linux lite OS, hardwired into a wireless router. On my laptop I have the Windows 8.1 Professional OS installed. In the navigation pane of Windows Explorer under Network, I see "LAPPY" and a sub icon labeled "linuxliteshare." When I click on the sub icon, "linuxliteshare," a dialog box titled "Network Error" opens with the message: "Windows cannot access \\LAPPY\linuxliteshare. Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click Diagnose." How can I access "linuxliteshare"?
