ultimate edition wireless problem

argg such a newb had ubuntu, wireless worked .got ultimate edition .wireless dont work .says cant install driver says check jockey.log checked log somthing about blacklisted .asked on irc was told to edit blacklist.i did foolishly .now still no wireless and worse cant even find blacklist dir anymore .now before i sudo smash my laptop and buy a windows laptop or do any more damage .please help
