UK user - installing and using mc2xml for TVHeadend

Hello,

I have finally managed to install and set up TVHeadend on Openmediavault (which is based upon Debian Jessie).

I have a Schedules Direct account and am trying to install and set up mc2xml so the guide data is available in TVHeadend.

Unfortunately, I am still a complete Linux novice and really struggling to understand what to do.

A complete idiot's walk through would be really appreciated.

i am unsure what you are trying to achieve and, more importantly, where the actual problem is.
please read the first link in my signature and also the follow-up links from there.

simply entering your question into a search engine seems to give lots of tutorials you could try:

elsmandino,

The Kodi Community Forum can probably assist you with your problem:

http://forum.kodi.tv/index.php

You have probably see this link already:
https://tvheadend.org/boards/4/topics/17721

Note the replies suggesting that zap2xml should be used instead of mc2xml.

I also found this:
