Ugly vs pretty right-click menus
Hi all :-)
So, I installed Gentoo with the 2.6 test 11 kernel successfully, and now enjoy the GNOME desktop, but I was wondering... I've configured it to use the Smokey Blue theme, and the Tux'n Tosh icons, and while it looks very good, some apps like Opera display some ugly looking menus when I right-click. Can I do anything about this, other than dwelve into the source? Also, I see some neat apps on various screenshots. Is there a site which maintains an easily browsable list w/screenies of such utilities? One last question... When I do an emerge in Gentoo, where does the application install itself? After using computers since I was 6 years old I have never felt this noobish <=) Guess I should be glad I didn't bump into more complicated problems :p |
Opera is built against Qt ... nothing Gnome can do
about it. Cheers, Tink |
