ubuntu won't boot
I use ubuntu 7.10 and after installing glib and gtk downloaded from www.gtk.org the os won't boot. The loading screen appears but that's all it oes, keeps loading. What can I do?

You can try pressing ctrl-alt-f1 or ctrl-alt-F2. This may take you into an alternate console, if it does you can log in as root and try a repair.
With Ubuntu many packages are available on synaptic or apt-get, as your problems occured loading alternate software, this is the most likely source of data corruption |
