Ubuntu with Wubi


1. I download ubuntu-12.10-desktop-i386
2. I download wubi
3. Wubi installation begins---> Completed successfully.
4. Asks me to reboot . I do so .
5. Nothing happens on reboot .Windows XP boots up as usual as if nothing has happened.
6. I am using a very run down computer , but I just can't get ubuntu to run using wubi !

In my experience, Wubi is very temperamental. In my opinion, you would be better off installing ubuntu directly to your hard drive. You can still make it so that both XP and Ubuntu are installed on your computer (though it would be worth making a backup before trying to do this, just in case something goes wrong).
