Ubuntu with Gateway ML3109 laptop
 

I've "played" with ubuntu 7.04 on my old g41 laptop with no issues, I was lucky.

Now I'm trying this on a gateway ml3109 laptop. I'm trying to get the wireless card (realtek rtl8185) to function and the sound card (sigmtel?).

I hear that this is common on this laptop model.

But I also hear that some have fixed this.

I'm new here so reply as if I know nothing.

Hopefully someone can guide me through this
