Ubuntu vs. Kubuntu?

I have ubuntu installed and it is working fine; however, I tried the live CD for Kubuntu and it seems that Kubuntu is more windows like. Which one is better of the two?

Which is better an apple or an orange?

Which one do YOU prefer? That is the better one for YOU.

If you'd asked me two days ago I would have firmly stood by KDE. I have always been a KDE man. For various reasons (eg I don't like KDE4 yet) I switched my main production workstation to Gnome and for the first time ever I love it. It's fantastic!! Everything about it rocks. I am writing this on one of my KDE desktops and I didn't even notice. Kubuntu or Ubuntu? You decide. They both work.

From ubuntu you can do aptitude install kubuntu-desktop to have both KDE and Gnome on the same ubuntu install. You pick which one you want when you login.

For some people that means that kubuntu is the better of the two, and for some people it means that ubuntu is the better of the two. Which type are you?

Try and use what appeals.
