Question ubuntu server 12.04 LTS 32 bit i386 boot problem


i have windows 7 installed on my desktop pc. i have divided hard disk into two part. in the second part i am trying to install ubuntu server. but while trying to boot from cd, it just dont boot.

i have choosen cd rom from bios as a primary disk to boot.

what can be the problem?

First thing to check is that the iso image you downloaded was not corrupt. Check the md5sum or sha1sum.

okey thank you it worked when i burned it directly from iso image. not for ubuntu but centos is okey now. i installed it successfuly.
