Ubuntu rejects password on install process

Hello helpfull people. I had some difficulty loading Ubuntu 12.04 so I deleted it, as I could not Uninstall.
Now load cd, drop down appears, recognition appears as to owner etc,"password" which I had written upon the obverse of the cd's sleeve. I type it in the box and get "incorrect password" Would someone walk me through a remedy for this problem please. regards G

It really isn't clear what you are trying to do. First off, you don't uninstall operating systems you reformat the partition on which they were installed and install something else to that partition. What 'drop down' are you referring to? When you boot the compupter with the install medium (DVD, flash drive) set to first boot priority, you will see an option to either Try Ubuntu or Install Ubuntu. There is no password on the installation medium. If you created a password during the install and the installation did not complete, the password won't be valid, particularly if you deleted the partition on which you had it. You will need to give a little more detail as to what you did and how far you got in the installation process as what you have posted doesn't make sense. It would also be helpful to you if you indicated whether Ubuntu is the only operating system that will be on the computer and, if not what else you have. Take a look at the tutorials below which should give you some detailed information on how to install Ubuntu.
