Ubuntu: network printer
Hi there,
I've a problem: I cannot make the printer work in network. OS: Ubuntu Printer: HP Laserjet 2300 The problem is that I cannot make the other computer to print in network. Locally the printer is working properly. As a newbie I cannot say that if the problem is in sharing or there is something wrong in configuration on the computer that I'm supposed to use in network. I've tried CUPS, UNIX and HP JetDirect but nothing (and yes, the IP is correct that I'm using)... Could someone please help me? Regards, Ursinus |
One thing to check is the Location sections in you /etc/cups/cupsd.conf file (it's very well commented). I believe the default configuration in Ubuntu was set up to only allow connections from the local host. You might try changing that to the IP range of your LAN.
