ubuntu module help

I have installed the latest version of ubuntu on my ibm think pad and it incorrectly installed the hermes driver for the wireless.

I got down the latest wlan-ng drivers via synaptic and now I want to know how to "add" them to the module lists..

where dows ubuntu keep its module list to boot up ??

Thanks
