Ubuntu Laptop boot problem

So I've been trying to get Ubuntu installed on my laptop and I've tried 100 times to get it done and finally I found this: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download-wubi

I downloaded it in Windows 7 and installed it, rebooted and it hit 100% and had to restart and when I did I get a dos prompt screen that says: GNU GRUB version 1.97~beta4

[ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible deice/file completions. ]

So what do I do, or can I do anything. TAB brings up some commands that I don't really understand.
---
Oh and the prompt I type in looks like this: sh:grub>

doing this fixed it: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...9/comments/210

Now I just have to make it recognize my wireless connection. Not sure how though.
