Ubuntu iso for hp tc1100

Looking for ubuntu to run on my hp tc1100. I tried the latest mint os and the screen was not showing everything had to shut down manually. I used the same usb boot on my newer hp running Windows 8 no problems.

Welcome to the forums!

I found the following page about HP TC1100. Can you confirm this is indeed your tablet computer?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Compaq_TC1100

Ubuntu is designed to run well on fast modern hardware. There is a strong possibility it will not run well on your discontinued year 2005 tablet, and/or that it will not be an easy beginner project. If you choose to proceed, a good first step is to make sure that your device meets the minimum hardware requirements for Ubuntu:

Quote:
Recommended system requirements:

2 GHz dual core processor or better
2 GB system memory
25 GB of free hard drive space
Either a DVD drive or a USB port for the installer media
Internet access is helpful
If your device does not meet the hardware requirements, there are a lot of good holiday sales going on right now, you could pick up a cheap laptop (US$200 or less) that easily meets the requirements for Ubuntu. Another option to consider is an inexpensive Android tablet (Android is based on Linux).
