ubuntu error 17 from vista
I an avid windows user and was interested in learning Linux, but it began to slow things down in vista once I set up the latest version of Ubuntu.
in an attempt to uninstall Ubuntu, I erased two partitions in disk management, pretty much I deleted everything but vista. but then afterwards I restarted my computer and received the common grub error 17. I burned the Ubuntu disc and still have it readily available so I'm accessing Ubuntu by simply running a live CD. but I would really like to wipe any trace of it from my computer then restarting. I mainly need to know... 1) How can I get ubuntu off my system? Including anything in the bios, or whatever tells it to read that as first O.S. 2) How can I get back into vista after I remove Ubuntu? 3) After I accomplish this, what should I do to install Ubuntu and vista together efficiently. I am willing to downgrade to windows XP if necessary. |
I don't see any reason for Ubuntu to make your vista slow. May be you should give it a second chance. You can get lot of information from forums like this. Incidentally, did you ask about this in Ubuntu forums? I hope you will come back to Linux sooner or later.
To answer your question, please see the link below on uninstalling grub http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-h...ninstall-grub/ |
