Ubuntu automatic Restart
 
Ubuntu restarts every 1 hour and sometimes around 3 am in the morning. It is happening for the past few weeks i didn't find any help for this problem in the net. Please reply if there is any way to find why it is happening or how to stop if from doing an auto reboot

it may be worth checking the OS error logs

usually located in /var/log

does it reboot if your are using it or not?

it may not be the OS and could just as likely be a hardware issue causing the reboot.

This sounds like something M$ would do with a prerelease version of WinBloze, not something Linux would do AT ALL!!! As bob_man_uk said, it may be a hardware (or BIOS) issue.

Check /var/log/messages and /var/log/dmesg. Post any messages that were logged right before re-boot.
