ubuntu and kde
i was wondering if kde 3.4 can be put on insted or with gnome. im running the 64 bit ubuntu and i was woundering if it was possible to get kde on would it bring it down to 32 bit state :newbie:

The desktop manager and the processor have nothing to do with one another. If you install KDE on standard ubuntu it will be fine. You could also simply install kubuntu, which is ubuntu with KDE rather than gnome. It comes in 64 bit flavor as well. Here is the website
