how could i fix it in ubuntu 9.10

Don't even try fixing it. Ubuntu 9.10 has been unsuppoted since April 2011, we are now in September 2012. Download a version of Ubuntu, or any other system you like, that is supported and install it instead.

I just looked at your link, you didn't post this to ask a question you posted it to drum up readership.

According to the link you posted this issue is already solved. So just copy over the files to a backup medium and make a fresh install of a supported Linux version.
