Well, That's something to be remembered. I will try that next time I install a daemon. The best thing when working with linux is learning something new everyday. And getting help from everywhere.

I got addict to that.

Wink consider this

Running ubuntu 9.04, after switching to wicd, my NAS drive no longer auto mounted from fstab during a system boot. I would have to mount it manually with 'sudo mount -a'. I went back to 'Network Manager' and my NAS drive problem was fixed. Just be aware of the possible risk.

Sounds like wicd was starting in a different position that network manager (later in the boot process) causing the NAS drive mount to fail because the network wasn't up yet.. at least that's where I would have started looking.
