Ubuntu 8.10 login
 
Dont know why but my ubuntu 8.10 is asking me login twice before getting my desktop . 1st time it is asking my username and password and the startup music comes and again the login screen appears . I have to login again!!!

Sounds weird. Never had that problem myself, but I've found this thread:

With users having the exactly same problem as you with different attempts to fix the issue and some worked, some didn't. Just dig in and you may find some solutions there :)
