Ubuntu 8.1 Is Terrible

sound on mozilla wont work
and its annoying
it took forever to get the internet working again
and i want to down grade back to the old ubuntu
when i click places/home folder or any other location under places it says "No application is registered as handling this file" and it doesnt make sense

and i need sound on mozilla to work.

i hate the new ubuntu
and im fed up

I had audio problems in both 8.04 and 8.10 because of pulseaudio.

go to System>Preferences>Session
and then uncheck PulseAudio (There are probably other things in here you don't need either)

then log out and log back in

Since when does mozilla have sound ? It's a web browser

Are you referring to the flash plugin maybe ?

and it's 8.10 not 8.1

then learn how to do it. seriously, if you don't know how to back up files, you have no business upgrading and installing a new OS every 6 months.

This is for an older version but should work for you: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-303028.html It fixed problems I was having in an entirely different distro some time ago.
