Ubuntu 7.04, need help connecting other computers to net thru this cpu
Hi, I am new to Ubuntu 7.04 Desktop edition, just switched from XP pro on my desktop that also serves as my main connection to the internet through DSL. I have got my dsl connection up and running, however this desktop also serves as my server. I have two network cards, one of which is for the DSL connection (working), and the other runs to my Netgear router to share the connection with other computers/game systems on my home network(detected, but apparently not working). The problem is that I can not connect to the internet through my other computers/game systems now? I am completely new to Linux, but thus far I LOVE IT, if I can just get the hang of everything. Thank you!

just plug the modem into the router's "UPLINK" port.

Hi,
There are many tutorials for this on the internet. Here's one from my yahoo search; it deals with internet connection sharing specifically with Ubuntu. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=91370 Sam |
