Ubuntu 16.04 File Manager Question
Greetings. I've had no luck finding an answer to this elsewhere, so I defer to the experts.
With my Ubuntu 16.04 desktop, when using file manager, I can only selectively choose the order of files displayed (by name, type, modification date etc.) when "view, icons" is selected, but not when "view, list" is selected. When I was checking out a Zorin distro, in file manager, files could be selectively ordered in either view. This is a bit of a step backward, and makes the process of file management more tedious, especially when working with a large number of files. Is there a way to change a value(s) somewhere in the filesystem to allow selective file ordering in both views? Safely and not too complicated? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much !, - LL - |
