Ubuntu 12.04 boots to Busybox initramfs

Hi,

I have Ubuntu 12.04. I installed kubuntu desktop in it using the command
Code:
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
.
After the install, I restarted the system and it came up with this Busybox initramfs screen.. I typed "exit" on the screen and it gave me an error..

How should I resolve this issue?

There's been quite a few threads about "kernel panic - not syncing". Try the Search option.

The basic difference between Ubuntu and Kubuntu is that Kubuntu uses the "KDE Desktop". Sorry, I have no idea what the command you entered will do (nothing good apparently) or how to resolve it. I'm sure someone will come along with a suggestion.
