For installing mac-theme
http://www.fossapps.com/how-to-insta...-ubuntu-11-04/
http://blog.sudobits.com/2011/03/02/...-ubuntu-10-10/

If u want other themes go to http://gnome-look.org/ or http://art.gnome.org/themes
You can find a number of themes in here and can also look for some good login screens.

To change your login install ubuntu tweak. It is a good software and you can also do a number of things. Download link here.

Enjoy!

The above is good solution . I am going little further .
To install a theme do the following steps:-
1. right click on desktop>change desktop background
2. go to theme tab
3. you can drag and drop theme packs in the theme window. it will automatically install the theme.

for MAC like theme USE Cairo-dock(can be found in synaptic ) for dock and theme name is MAC4LIN. Do google these names..

Depends on your Desktop Environment not version. To install Gnome theme follow above poster links. Download archived file then click mouse for options on desktop -> change desktop background -> theme => install and locate file(if Unity changed this approach then sorry for false info). Similar link is for KDE just replace "gnome" with "kde" or if you have other DE then just search for other themes but installation will be bit different though - usually under appearance menu.
