Ubuntu 11.04 and Samba

I have recently installed Ubuntu 11.04 in addition to 10.04.

In 10.04 I have set up samba and my wife, who is running Windows 7, can see the designated files that are on my machine;typically windows xp word and excel files.

I have attempted to set up samba in exactly the same way in 11.04 but the windows 7 machine cannot see them. When reverting to 10.04 they can be seen.

Has anyone any ideas please?

Greetingz!

If possible, find and copy the smb.conf file from your old Ubuntu installation to the new one.

Code:

find / -type f -name smb.conf 2>/dev/null

Also, check to see if iptables is running in your old install (and if so, what the rules are).
