I am using Ubuntu 10.04, and from the moment I installed it, I couldn't type capital z, all other shift+letter are working fine, but when it comes to z, it pops up a message with the title “Metacity” saying:
“There was an error running System Monitor:
Failed to execute child process “System” (No such file or directory)”
How can I fix it?
(And yes, I can use Caps-lock and z, but I wonder what is causing the problem)
check the properties in Meta City do you have a app set to excute with those two buttons being pressed at the same time....
Thank you, I figured it out.
I opened “Ubuntu Tweak” under “System Tools”
Went to “Shortcut Commands” under “personal” and clicked the clear button to disable shortcut to activate system monitor

Rep:
Done that about 10 times till I figured out not to run so many shortcuts only the ones I use regularly....
Also the reason I run conky.. Allows me to monitor the system resources without doing shortcut keys.... Also takes up less resources by running conky....
You can also copy conky code and edit it to look exactly how you want it...
