typical newbie questions....

Hello alls...

first of all..thank you very much for your help and answering my (probably) stupid question....
I have installed Fedora Core 2 on my computer - I have chosen the "workstation" installation...
It works fine and I am proud to hace successfully configured my internet access ;-)
I am sure to have dozens of questions and google is my current favoured internet page...
Questions which are very essential for me at this stage:

1) I need a Navision Financals Client for my Fedora Core...

2) I have Windows Applications which are not available for Linux (e.g. HP Product Bulletin, ProCurve Configurator, ...) - I have heard that it is possible tu run Windows Application on Linux do I do that?

3) How do I install, locate installed, and run applications?

4) There are dozens of Linux howtos in the net - could you probably give me a hint where I can find good information (basic howto) that are suitable for a Linux-newbie?
I am workiong with pc for ten years now - but MS's enough now!

Again, thanks a lot for your, I ll try using the "find" function of this forum...

awaiting your answers.....
best regards

using Windows apps in Linux means usually that you run Wine (Wine Is Not an Emulator) that you can locate at it cannot run _every_ windows app, not nearly, but it can run some of them basically you get it somehow (say as rpm package), install, configure the config text file and run apps from command line like:

wine ./appname.exe
wine /path/to/appname.exe

then you'll see if the app runs or not. it's not perfect, not nearly but runs even games and stuff...see for yourself.
