tying a text string to a keystroke combination in gnome
Is there a way to tie a text string to a keystroke under gnome (a simple macro)?
For example, I want to press ctrl+f10 and gnome will paste "abc" into the current window. The software centre shows pnee & xnee, which seem like an overkill. Is there something simpler (for gnome) doing what I need? TIA |
Use exo-open --launch in a /usr/bin/script, and use 'key bindings' to define the keys.
