Two n00b 'nix questions...

Hello all, I am currently using Windows XP, and I'm fed up with it. So I looked into getting Linux. Mandrake Linux seemed like the best one, so I will most likely get Mandrake. But I have two problems.

First of all, I play games. A lot. And I have a lot of games right now that I play on XP. Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Alien Vs. Predator 2, Postal 2, etc. But if I get Mandrake Linux, will I have to buy different copies for these games, or would the games work on 'nix?

Second of all, I'm confused about the internet. Currently, I am using Comcast high-speed cable blah blah blah (another thing I'm not exactly proud of.) So if I get Mandrake Linux, will I still be able to use Comcast? Would I just be able to plug in the modem etc. and go? Or would I have to switch to a different ISP?

Thanks a lot,

1) Some games work perfectly well with the Wine windows emulator (such as counter-strike, according to some). And some don't. You'll need to get seperate versions for these.
2) Depends on how your cable modem works, and if there's a driver for it if needed.

I have comcast running mandrake 8.2, and it works great. Mandrake should configure it all itself, atleast it did for me.If you have any problems just let us know.
