Two (hopefully) Stupid Questions

Hey Everybody,

I have linux running, and working very well, but I need to know a few things in order to be more functional

First, how can I get more files for synaptic? (uhg I can't belive I don't know the proper name) Because (I'm running ubuntu) I want to be able to use apt-get/synaptic for more files than they have on the list. How do I do that? Is there a good site for this? I couldn't find it

Second, I think is a little harder, I want to be able to print from this computer, but my one printer is a completely wireless printer that I have upstairs. Is there any way I can print from it using ubuntu? It is a psc 2510 photosmart, and I haven't found any way to use it from linux.

Thanks Guys!!!!

Luke

if you want to be able to download more software using apt-get

then you should look for apt sources (maybe looking at other peoples /etc/apt/sources.list)

and then adding them to your /etc/apt/sources/list.file ...

you can also offcourse just look for .deb packages on the web and install them with dpkg -i something.deb

Go to the Ubuntu webpage, on the FAQs or HowTos there are instructions for adding sites to apt - I think you want the "universe" urls adding.
