Tweaking NFSv4 Performance

I just ( a few minutes ago ) got NFSv4 working through my firewall, and now I would like to speed up file transfers from my file server even more ( its 3x as fast as Samba with defaults, hopefully some buffer size increases will make it even faster ).

Any guidance ( links, advice, etc. ) to speed up read/writes over NFSv4 connections?

Me again...

Take a look at the wsize and rsize parameters. (man nfs)

Perhaps my system was already optimized, I increased the r and w sizes to 32768 , remounted, and the file copy ( both directions ) speeds are the same. Thank you for the advice. This site has some good information on optimizing and testing nfs http://nfs.sourceforge.net/nfs-howto/performance.html .
