tty/USB0 change

Hello

I am new, and inexperienced linux user. I am running LUBUNTU 16. I am using a USB to Serial device, and the COM port needs to be set to COM1 for it to connect to my device. Therefore, tty/USB0 needs to be changed to tty/USB1. How do I do this?

com1 is a windows device ID. What application are you trying to run?

I have installed a car fault code reader software on my laptop. The USB to serial cable is the interface between the car and my laptop. The fault code reader program requires the COM pert be set to COM1 to COM4. My understanding from what I have read is that ttyUSBx is a virtual COM port

The diagnostic program is stored in Wine. I attach the USB lead then launch terminal to mount it. I was thinking maybe this part needed to be done in Wine, but I have the know how.

This is the website site for diagnostic reader http://toaf.roverki.eu/index.php/en/download-en
This is the link for the chipset in the test lead http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

You need to add a link to com1. See the information below
