trying to update kernel on slackware 10.0

i tried to compile ndiswrapper v.1.0 on the 2.4.26 kernel and got loads of errors. how do i update my kernel? i downloaded the tar... do i compile it? what do i do?

Well, you could start by reading The Slackware Kernel Compiling Guide in the Slackware forum. I has pretty much everything you need to know. I also wrote one based on that thread and you can find it here
