Unhappy Trying to run lisa on slackware 10.0


While trying to run KDE,I need to get to my other windoze boxes. I get the error meesage saying lisa must be installed.When I try to run lisa,then error:No configuration file found.I know I can get on network,because I am sending this thru one of those windoze machines.
HELP!!! All the other references I get for running/configuring lisa all goto non-existant directories(I.E. etc/init.d......
HELP
I am a newbie,so PLEASE remember to tell me in plain easy language.

Are you trying to run the Lisa demon as root? You need to be.
You may need to install Lisa

Or you can just mount windows shares manually, as root
Code:
mount -t smbfs //MachineName/SharedResource /home/YourName/MountingPoint
Don't forget to unmount the share before closing your file directory or turning the share off. As root
Code:
umount /home/YourName/SharedResource
You can also try smb4k.
