Trying to print from Redhat 9 box to HP5Si networked printer
 

Hi there. I'm still a bit new to the linux thing still but I'm working my way through it. Currently i have rh9. When I installed my HP5Si on the network, i used the the Unix LPD method for it and then finished setting it up from there.

Now i think i need to let you know how this all goes down. I have users that are connecting into my box "internally" through telnet (i can't have them use any other program, it's proprietary software). So they connect up to my box and can print some documents...there are others that when they try to print it says:

I have looked on the Internet for resolutions for this...but to no avail. I have tried to edit my mime.conv and mime.types in /etc/cups but i don't this has any bearing on what i'm doing. I've tried to set the printers up to use Cups as the networking print method...and i get the same thing.

If there is anyone out there that may have a suggestion i would GREATLY appreciate it.
