trying to play divx .avi file
Hey
I am new to linux. My distro is fedora core 4. I was trying to play a .avi file. It was automatically associated with 'totem' which refuses to run. It says its 'busy'. Do help. P.s: I downloaded mplayer to play the file but its not being automatically installed. it sez my system is missing some 'applications neccesary to install'. |

hey, try to install vlc media player...
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ there is a download and howto available. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-fedora.html funny part is: you don't need to install codecs anymore, this stuff works without them (or are allredy included?) |
