Trying to make a bootable DVD Mandrake
Hi im just newe with Linux, i mean i dont even installed it yet,
The problem here es that yesterday I downloaded Mandrake Distribution in about 6 hours, now I want to create a bootable DVD to run it from the start...the thing is I dont know how to do that. Ill apreciate any help Thanks |
What file did you download, was it the DVD iso?
What burning software are you using? |
The file was MandrakeLinux 10.1-Oficial Download
The burning program is instant CD/DVD |
That's probably the iso. Check the file name. It should probably be Mandrakelinux-10.1-Official-Download-DVD.i586.iso. Open your burning software and usually under the File menu there will be a selsction titled "Burn Disc From Image File" or something like that. Select that and browse to your downloaded file. This will extract the iso image onto the disc and it should be made bootable. I'm not familiar with your burning software, but most that are able to burn iso files will have a setup similar to that.
