Tried a couple of ways.
Extract using KDE, and untarring it in shell. Is this wrong? |
you can untar it a couple of different ways, that however is only part of the install process for a src file. after you unpack the tarball you should have a number of files, one of which will be a readme, or install instructions. usually after unpacking the tar ball it's as simple as
./configure make su password make install there is a great guide here on the forum, have a read. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=45094 |
