You need to explain your intentions a little more clearly. Do you now have Linux Mint installed to the hard drive of your computer? Do you want to replace Linux Mint with windows xp? or do you want to install windows xp and keep Linux Mint? or do you want to run windows xp in a virtual machine inside Linux Mint?

if i take it literally: "install on linux mint", would mean you have linux mint installed, and want to install win xp on top of it.
for that, install a virtual machine, for example a program called virtualbox or vbox, and through that install win xp.
(or, you can install win xp side by side with linux mint on your hard drive, but this is tricky due to windows' deliberate ignorance of everything that is not microsoft & co.)
if your hardware is not too old (5 years or newer), i recommend the virtual machine.

I am using WIn-7 as VM within RHEL5. It seems working fine so far.
I would recommend to have VM (as recommended by others also), if you are looking to have Windows as secondary OS on same machine.
