Say for instance you install xyz-0.1.2.tar.gz.

tar -xzvf xyz-0.1.2.tar.gz

And now you have a directory called xzy-0.1.2

You should just be able to:

cd xyz-0.1.2

Thanks much, it finally took??
Me thinks it was an operator error.
Do you know of any good programs I could get to sycn up my pilot with?
It sems that it will reconizw it in Linux but what program do I use to see the info?

Opera works ok but I think I will use the defualt Mozilla it sems to be faster.

Learning s curve here is something but very rewarding once you master something!!!
