I'm using the an ATI Rage Mobility P 8meg video card with RedHat 9, seems to work fine. The drivers came with RH. In the config, it says the driver is "ati", hopefully that is some help.

Check out this site:

It takes some time to get all that stuff installed, but I followed the instructions on that page and got DRI up and running on my Rage 128 Mobility.
