trying to execute a .xsd file

I am new to Linux this summer. So far I have been successful at running .jar files on my linux machine. Now I'm trying to run an .xsd. I have already mounted the media to the machine. I'm just not sure where to go from there. Help please!

i dont think you run .xsd files...i may be wrong, but arent they property or scheme files or somehting like that for xml?
